Long-term care insurance is a system to collect money from people over 40 years old to help those who need long-term care.
Coverage | People who have been in Japan for more than 3 months and are 40 years of age or older |

Premiums |
The premium is determined by your salary. People between 40 and 64 years old pay together with medical insurance. People over 65 years old have payments deducted from their pension. |

People with disabilities receive an identification booklet at the City Office.
If you have such a booklet, the tax you pay will be lower and the fare for buses and taxis will be cheaper.
